Dino Patch Quilt - Part 2

The second instalment of our lovely Dinosaur quilt. Last week we pieced together the quilt top using the pattern that was linked in the tutorial. Today, we are going to finish the backing, binding and quilting of the Dino Patch Quilt.

1. Cut the backing fabric 2" larger than the quilt front, in all directions.
2. Tape the backing fabric, right side down, to the floor using masking tape, smoothing out any creases as you go. Lay the wadding on the backing fabric, with the quilt top, right side up, on top. Smooth out any creases and tack the three layers together, using quilter's safety pins, working from the centre out.

3. Quilt as desired. We have quilted simply by stitching in the ditch, along the blocks and the small fabric 7 squares and fabric 8 strips, using orange cotton.

4. Create binding from the strips of Fabric 5 and bind the quilt by hand or with the sewing machine.

**If you are going to personalise your quilt, like I have in the photos, this must be done before starting this tutorial.

I hope a special little boy enjoys your beautiful Dino Patch Quilt.
