Burp Cloth Tutorial

I was having a look over on Etsy at Burp Cloths the other day and was amazed at the price!! So I thought that I would make a couple and share with you how to make this quick and simple project.

A couple of my friends have had a little ones with reflux, so I decided to make my Burp Clothes super absorbent, with a layer of towelling. If absorbency isn't a big deal, you could opt for flannel (this would also be cheaper).

1. Cut an 18 x 10" panel from the cotton fabric and the chenille towelling.

2. Place the fabric and towelling, wrong sides together and join with 1/4" seam, leaving a 2" gap.

3. Trim the corners and turn in the right way.

4. Pin the opening close and secure using a 1/4" top seam.

And it's done! A quick 15 minute project, that makes a wonderful baby shower gift. Mix it up with different fabrics. Remember, the fabric doesn't need to be a children's print.

Please feel free to leave any comments, questions or suggestions!!
