34 Weeks - Mad Hatter High Tea to Celebrate!!

This past weekend, we were showered with love and gifts at our baby shower and we are so thankful to all of the friends and family who were there to celebrate.

One of my great friends Miss B, along with my mum and sister organised the whole to-do, which was held at my place (thanks Mr J for the effort behind the scenes with cleaning). The theme was a Mad Hatter's High Tea Baby Shower. Miss B did such a beautiful job with the decorations, which she rummaged through Op-Shops and raided her mums house to find!

It all started at 10am and we greeted with a beautiful spread of food, put together by my mum and sister. Everything from petite sandwiches to blue velvet cupcakes (to celebrate Marble being a boy) to my favourite....Chocolate Mousse slice, was beautifully showcased on high tea stands. There was also a tea collection that any Mad Hatter would be proud of!!

We played some games. First off, the prize for the maddest hat was awarded. Next game involved everyone cutting a length of string they thought would fit around my belly.........turns out it must look as though I'm having twins! Most people overestimated, some by a long, long way!

Marble received so many beautiful and thoughtful gifts. From outfits, bibs and socks to practical items like a breast feeding pillow, a baby monitor, a gorgeous nursery lamp and a portacot. 

Mr J and I have been oohing and aahing over everything since we unpacked it all!
